Revised 1/9/2019
The reception took place on the third day, Wednesday, November 28. Unlike the first two days where traditional Indian clothes were required, the reception allowed the option of "Western formal". Danielle and I took that option as it allowed us to wear some clothes that we normally don't have the opportunity to wear.
The crew spent all night and most of the day preparing what was the parking lot the first night into an over-the-top location for the outdoor reception. It is hoped these pictures will begin to show the elegance and grandeur of the location.
At about 10:30 P.M. that evening they started to tear things down because another wedding was scheduled for the next day and the crew again worked all night.
The excellent pictures in Slides 13, 14, and 23 (identified by "LOVE IN FRAMES") were taken by the official photographers.

The reception area is getting close to being ready. Notice all the chair backs have been decorated by pieces of cloth chosen to compliment the tablecloths. A light post had been wrapped to improve its looks. The 'stuff' left of the light post is just a small portion of the prepared food. The big speakers on the right were for the band. All of this was set up after the wedding the previous afternoon.
Notice that a small section of the curtain in the background had been lifted up to allow workers to move back and forth. The next slide enlarges this area. |
